What to Expect as a New FIA Team Member
Once your application has been reviewed, you will be contacted to set up an interview. During the interview you will have an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. If hired, you will be given a date and time to start orientation.
If you applied through a Staffing Agency, your on-sight contact will tell you when you start orientation. Please remember to always let your Staffing Agency contact person know about any issues you are having.
Your first stop on your journey as a new FIA Team Member will be the Team Member Development Department’s Training Dojo, which can be found on the map on the left. Every new FIA Team Member goes through orientation classes covering Safety, Quality and other topics specific to working at FIA. This process will give you time to transition to your new work environment, and is designed to help you succeed.
Experienced On-The-Job (OJT) trainers teach these classes, and which will cover topics such as:
- FIA Policies and Rules
- FIA Safety
- Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) Procedures
- Environmental Health and Safety (ISO 14001)

After completing orientation, your Supervisor will introduce you to your Team Leader and fellow Team Members. They will help you on your way to becoming a successful part of the FIA Team!
